Bring the Spirit into Christmas,
By A Customer
This review is from: Christmas To Christmas (Audio CD)
Lee Greenwood's album Christmas to Christmas is the most wonderful Christmas album that I have ever heard. I actually wore the tape out listening to it so often as a little girl. I would listen to it the whole year round not just during the Christmas season. I have heard that they have stopped producing this album but every year when Christmas rolls around I have to look at every Christmas album display in every tape store, grocery store, and even convient stores hoping and praying that by some small miracle that I will find it again.

We Love This Christmas Album!,

This review is from: Christmas to Christmas (Audio Cassette)
We have this on cassette tape and in my opinion it is better than his new Christmas album which we have on CD, the new one is ok but just not as good as Christmas To Christmas which I think is more down to Earth and has a great Country sound. Some of the songs on the new album are ok but some are over the top schmaltzy and have too much of a Pop sound instead of the simple understated down to earth Country appeal of the first album.

I bought Christmas to Chrismas a few years ago on cassette, it quickly became my favorite Christmas album. I've played it for all of my friends and family, and they all want me to tape it for them. I have been trying to obtain a CD copy for years.I am very happy that it is being re-issued. Buy it. You won't be sorry.

Christmas Classic,

This review is from: Christmas To Christmas (Audio CD)
My Sister purchased this some years ago. The music was so soothing and wonderful. Sometimes we would even listen to it during the summer months. Shortly after Halloween, and as we start towards the Holiday Seasons, this becomes a favorite. I have always just relied on my sister to play, but decided to invest in my own copy.

Christmas to Christmas,

I have Lee Greenwood's cassette, "Christmas to Christmas." I heard it playing years ago in a store and loved it. I also bought it for my daughter, who also thinks it's wonderful and she is a music teacher. I'm waiting for the CD to be reissued and I hope it will be soon. I have a cassette player in my car and that's where I usually play it during the holiday season. It is definately one of the best sound recordings for the holidays that I've ever heard.

This Cd is awesome. I grew up listening to it as a tape and so when I found it as a Cd I was really excited. I bought 2 one for me and one for my dad. This is by far the best Christmas Cd there is. Listening to it brings back alot of wonderful memories and it's Christmas time when I'm listening to this and decorating our tree!

I've been listening to Lee Greenwood's Christmas to Christmas for probably 20 years now, so much that I had to get a new one. Every November I get the CD out and listen to it over and over til New Year's.

A wonderful Christmas album,

This review is from: Christmas To Christmas (Audio CD)
This album, recorded at the height of Lee's popularity in the eighties, is exactly what his fans expected of him. It has some Christmas classics, some original songs and some less obvious but brilliant covers. This is mainly an album of love songs with Christmas themes, but that's appropriate because Christmas is meant to be a time for peace and goodwill. The standards are Let it snow, I'll be home for Christmas, Christmas song and O holy night, all of which Lee performs well. Tennessee Christmas was written in the early eighties was also recorded by Alabama, Amy Grant and Steve Wariner. The greatest gift of all had been recorded a year earlier as a duet by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and is one of my favorite Christmas songs. As far as I know, the other four songs are all originals. Christmas to Christmas has since been covered by (among others) Toby Keith (who made it the title track of his Christmas album) and Tanya Tucker. I do not know of any covers of When the rain turns to snow, Lone star Christmas (my favorite track here) or Bring Christmas home, but they are all excellent songs that capture what a family Christmas should be all about. If you enjoy Lee's type of easy-listening pop-country music, you will love this album.

I looked in several stores that carry CD's and none of them had Lee Greenwoods CD, 'Christmas to Christmas. Finally my husband said check Amazon. Amazon's products are cheaper, good quality, and you save gas (which is over $3 a gallon now). So I didn't have to get out in the cold snowy weather, just a few clicks and my CD was shipped while I was sitting in my chair. I got it in 3 days.Mary Nuebler |
