This book had great potential for being hilarious, but was not. Instead, it contained poor attempts at humor. I may have been disappointed because I had the wrong expectations. I expected the book to use actual Christmas newsletters or at least have written some fictitious ones which parodied real letters. Instead the letters were from real or fictional characters (i.e., Osama Bin Laden, Dr. Phil, and just plain old made-up characters). The letters were not really funny and not very creative. If you are looking for real humor, this is not the book for you.

I bought this book for a gift. Before I wrapped it up and mailed it, I read some of it. Ths book was so boring and repetitive, I lost interest very quickly. The writer was trying hard to be funny and it just wasn't. I was glad that I decided to sample it before sending it out. I bought another book in a hurry. Although I did still include this one, it went with a warning!

Hilarious book, it has Christmas letters that will remind you of all the ones you've seen from your own family just funnier. I would recommend this as a secret Santa gift or for that family member who sends out the family newsletter every year.

The perfect antidote for Yuletide stress! Curl up away from the hustle and bustle, and prepare to snicker, chortle, and guffaw! If you have ever struggled with writing a Christmas letter, or have received one from that impossibly perfect family, or are in need of humorous relief, then read this book! I liked it so much that I gave a copy to a friend.

not a bad book per say, just not along the same line as say "Santa Responds", etc. Although funny at times, it seemed to lack the straight up laugh out loud humor that I was looking for. Not a bad book, just not the best one on the subject.
