A seasonal miss,

David Graham is one of my favorite photographers, his photobooks of the man-made American landscape (Only in America, Taking Liberties and Declaring Independence) are just stunning and on the strength of his work I bought this little book, which turns out to be a big disappointment. Each spread has a whole-page photo and on the other page, floating in a ton of white space, is a vaguely photo related festive season factoid. These are given six pages of Sources in the back of the book but as they are mostly undated they could just as easily be made up. The photos are average and certainly not up to the subject and composition quality David Graham is capable of. I would have expected a lot better than this seasonal miss.
