This is my fav of the books in the "Long Pond" series written by William T. & illustrated by Lindsay Barrett George many years ago. Unfortunately, the book is no longer in print, however I was able to obtain this one from a collectible book dealer on Amazon and it was exactly as described, in excellent condition.
I read it several times to my 4-1/2 yr. old granddaughter over the Christmas Holidays and we had fun talking about the beautiful illustrations depicting many different animals in the wild; and of the Dad, his son and their dog searching for the 'perfect' tree while discussing nature. Just a lovely book! William T. George passed in 1999, but his wife, Lindsay Barrett George continues to publish quality children's books, all of which I also highly recommend. |
