Christmas Moon by Elizabeth Lane, October 26, 2011
This review is from: Christmas Moon (Paperback)
A teacher researching her master's thesis goes back in time and meets the subject of her research. Great book. The characters were very real as were the day to day situations they found themselves dealing with. I believe Elizabeth Lane self published this book. Without the editing and reworking publishing houses often subject books to, the book retains a flavor and feeling not often found. The scenes with the baby brought back memories of the little things you deal with and the little joys that are so easily overlooked or forgotten. You can smell the smoke from the fire and feel the cold of the snow. The hero is a real person, bad attitude as well as the courage to face what the future holds rather than take the easy way out. The heroine has her own faults and problems to deal with. Two imperfect people who face what is dealt them and come out better for it.
If you haven't read it, you should. CHRISTMAS MOON is a book I will be pulling out many years for a reread.
