This review is from: Christmas on the Range (Audio CD)
The Track Listing on Amazon is outdated. This is for the -original- Capitol Records release. Instead of 20 tracks, there are 15 on this Green Hill re-release. The cover art is also from the -original- release.
Removed: 6. Christmas in My Hometown - Sonny James 8. Silver Bells - Jimmy Wakely, Margaret Whiting 10. You're the Angel on My Christmas Tree - Faron Young 13. Lonely Christmas - Ferlin Husky 15. If Santa Claus Could Bring You Back to Me - Jimmy Wakely As described, the remaining songs are more "upbeat" but the CD total running time is only 35 minutes. For Christmas music collectors, these 15 Capitol songs (1942-1967) are not easy to find on CD.

Loved it--oldies but goodies,

This review is from: Christmas on the Range (Audio CD)
In this age of most Christmas albums all having the same songs over and over again, it was a nice change of pace to hear some different songs. Not only that, they were upbeat and not negative. Many of the newer songs out there are making fun of Santa or casting him in a negative light, but not on this album.
