The Best Chrstmas Pageant Ever,

If your child hasn't read this book, you should read it to him/her! It is so funny you both will be laughing out loud. It is several years old, but it is a classic. The Hurdman family is the typical family of bullies who take over the annual Christmas play to the most hilarious results. I plan to read it to my grandchildren in a few years. I can't wait until they are old enough to enjoy the story. It is so much fun!

Loved it as a kid, and my kids love it, too,

I attended a school with the same name as the one the kids in the book attended, so our librarian read this book to every 4th or 5th grade class every Christmas season. We loved this book!I found a copy on the discard shelf at my local library this fall (in another country, no less!) and scooped it up. I read it to my 6 year old son this Christmas and he laughed so hard. We both teared up a little at the end. I will read this to my youngest son when he is old enough, too. Hopefully they will both enjoy reading it on their own when they are a little older.

I'm a kindergarten teacher and I read the picture book version of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever to my class. I decided to buy the movie as well, but wasn't sure if they would enjoy it, since it's pretty old. No problems, my class thought it was great and couldn't wait to start again each time we watched (a movie this long is too much for one sitting for kindergarten kids, imo). I also loaned it to another teacher...her class had not read the book, but loved the movie as well. A good classic to share with a new generation of little ones!
