Well, you could say that this CD is too short. I suppose that it is but high marks have to given to it because it contains the classics "God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman" and "Oh, Come All Ye Faithful" which I now notice that some of the longer compilations do not (for whatever reason) include. I got to Perry Como rather late in life, but regard his voice as being among the most beautiful that I've ever heard. This is particularly the case for one of my all-time favorite songs--his version of O Holy Night. Honestly, when I first heard it I felt as if God had walked into the room. His Ave Maria is also superb in my mind. I even prefer his recording over those of the famous opera singers. Overall, there's not a song on here that isn't great. Perry Como and the Charlie Brown CD sit at the top of my treasured Christmas list. Perry Como is THE man when it comes to interpreting the more serious and religious Christmas songs.

This has many of the classics that I remember from childhood. I buy a new christmas CD every year and this one was long overdue as Perry Como has always been a favorite of mine. His rendition of Ave Maria is in a word "outstanding". Glad I made the purchase.

At long last Perry's "Sings Merry Christmas Music" is back on CD. I ordered this hoping that the recordings would not be from the 60's but from the actual LP that I grew up with. When I opened it, and listened to "Winter Wonderland" I was like "YES!", at long last!

This CD includes all 15 of the tracks from that album plus 10 others. Of the additional 10, five are traditional Christmas and of the other five, four are Gospel which still fit the mood perfectly. The one that seems to be a bit out of place is "Magic Moments", but doesn't that accurately describe Christmas?

The transfer is great! The only "incompleteness" is there are no liner notes and the sources are not given, i.e, albums, dates, etc., as to when/where the recordings were made.

The only disappointing song in the whole album is "Home for the Holidays". Certainly, pre-1960, but not the version I'm accustomed to from album "Season's Greetings". Still, I would give this album an overall 10.
