You must spend Christmas in Manhattan at least one time in your life. We actually stayed the week prior to Christmas 2005 & were overwhelmed with the Christmas spirit we felt each morning when we woke up to snow, especially since we're from Florida. This book did a fantastic job of pointing out what we could not miss. We stayed at the New York Palace, directly across the street from St. Patrick's Cathedral... WHOA what a gorgeous hotel! We're hoping to make it back to NY again this Christmas. You must: look at the window displays, see the gingerbread house at Saks, take a horse drawn carriage ride through Central Park at dark, SHOP!, make a snow man in Central Park, go to the Guggenheim Museum and eat at Rosa Mexicano (mmmm).
