5.0 out of 5 stars Great theater book for the Christmas Holidays, July 11, 2011
This review is from: Christmas Plays and Programs: A Collection of Royalty-Free Plays, Playlets Choral Readings, Poems, Songs and Games for Young People (Hardcover)
This is a great book for around Christmas and do one of these plays instead of doing "the same old things." It has many different plays, programs, poetry and games for that time of year. Many are about how different places celebrate Christmas, or about coming together, etc. General heartwarming plays (and for those who are wondering-really, really wholesome and just plain good fun!)

Some of the plays are dated to about the 50s or 60s, but those are really cute plays, whether or not they are "updated" to modern times. Most of the plays and programs would be able to include a large cast sized, but don't think they don't have anything to do for the entire play! Most cases, the chorus have songs to sing or poetry or one-liners (for individuals in the chorus or for the chorus as a whole to speak together). Majority of the songs are standard carols, but occasionally the author tells you to reference another book for the song's music and lyrics.

This would be great for any Church or Christian School.
