A Little Christmas Masterpiece, November 29, 2010

This is an exquisite small-scale Christmas album, lead by an artist for whom Christmas has real emotional resonance. An accomplished concert pianist, Ms. Stillman leads (and accompanies) a group of seven fine musicians (strings, flute and piccolo, and classical guitar) playing in various combinations. The arrangements are modest, amplifying the familiar tunes without pretension, and the musicians play with real affection.
Although this program can serve as quiet background music, it's qualities can really be appreciated at a healthy volume.

I and my friend were very happy with the cd. A friend of mine made a tape of her tape and I really enjoyed it so much I wanted to find the cd in case something happened to the tape as things usually do. So thank you very much for having it. Diane and Friend
