This album contains several excellent arrangements of traditional Christmas songs that are very appealing, but the greatest part is the five original songs. I enjoy listening to them not only at Christmas but year-round. The vocals are excellent and the lyrics thought provoking.

Packed with those famous 4Him harmonies, this Christmas offering is simply very easy to listen to. The new songs have potent messages and balance the mix. The classics are revamped just enough to sound fresh, but are still comfortably recognizable. Highlights for me are the crisp "The Little Drummer Boy"; the only version of "Do You Hear What I Hear?" that I actually like; and the thoughtful "In Your Care".

This collection is reverent but hardly somber, infused with the joy of the season, and the fabulous arrangements that make 4Him great.

I'm not much into contemporary christian music normally, but this group has what it takes to catch your attention quickly! This particular album is especially good, because they've managed to take traditional Christmas songs and make them sound new again. Andy, Kirk, Mark & Marty blend so well in their harmony. The news songs, in particular "A Strange Way to Save the World", are beautiful, and I was even moved to tears. I believe I'm a fan for life!

4HIM's exquisite harmonies make The Season of Love a must-have Christmas album. 4HIM breathes new life into Christmas classics and contribute new originals that are destined to become classics. Up-tempo renditions of numbers such as "Do You Hear What I Hear" may initially seem strange to those used to a more traditional sound, but 4HIM's innovation brings a freshness to oft-rendered favorites. They effectively capture the warm spirit of Christmas without ever seeming cliched. The biggest highlight of the disc is the closer, "Strange Way to Save the World", a rumination on Christ's birth from Joseph's viewpoint that drives home the true meaning of the "season of love."

My title says it all. We get this album out on Thanksgiving while we're putting up our million trees and listen to it throughout the season. We've lost the cd in our move and are now back for another. 4 Him's incredible harmonies are so highlighted here in this album it just really feels like "Christmas" when you listen to it. I wasn't sure about "Do You Hear What I Hear" since it's one of my favorites and they do an upbeat version, but I really like it now and find myself singing it throughout the year. Make sure this one is in your collection of Christmas albums. I'm sure it will become a family favorite.

There's something about the holidays, Christmas in particular, that makes many of us just a little misty eyed. Whether it's the cookies, the gifts, the time with family and friends, or the music, something about it tugs at the heartstrings and makes us take notice. 4Him in their only Christmas album has done just that. Combining secular and sacred, old and new, they have created an offering that can appeal to all the various facets of our holiday experience. As with any album, some songs are better than others, and the preference for each should be left to the individual. However, the mix is quite well done, and the update of updated arrangements of several Christmas favorites will leave you wanting more. It's an all around good album, one you defiantly don't want to miss.

With classics like White Christmas and Little Drummer boy, and a few injections of 4Him's original songs like Strange Way to Save the World and The Season of Love, this album is one of the best tributes to meaning of Christmas out there. It's about Love, Joy, Peace, Giving, and most of all... Christ.

The album is full of beautiful harmonies and touching messages. When it comes to music, I cannot think of a more awesome way to get you into the spirit of Christmas. From Thanksgiving to NewYears, this album doesn't leave sight of my cd player. And I've been known to play it throughout the year as well.

I promise you won't regret grabbing this album, and wouldn't be suprised to see you write a review like mine afterwards. ;)

4 Him has put together a collection that is at the same time traditional and new. Half the songs are traditional carols of the season, but with fresh new arrangements. The other half is great new songs.

"White Christmas" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" are fresh upbeat versions of these classics. They maintain the melodies, but add harmony and rhythm as only 4 Him can. I love them! "Do You Hear What I Hear" and "Little Drummer Boy" are lesser-recorded classics, again done over in 4 Him's style.

The new songs add a lot to this CD. "Strange Way to Save the World" has become a Christmas classic, talking about how God's plan of salvation doesn't fit with what we as humans would expect. "Season of Love" is a fun song of the season as well, and "In Your Care" tackles the humanity of Christmas, from the soon to be born Savior's point of view.

I must admit I often pull this project out mid-year and listen to it. It never fails to put me in the Christmas spirit. You won't regret buying it.

We already had this Christmas CD on cassette, but was looking to get it on CD. If you want a great CD that still sings about what Christmas is all about, this is the one. It has a jazzy sound and there are many songs that may be new to you. Take the chance and buy it, you'll love it.

I love this CD! It is one of my favorites to listen to during the holiday season. I had it on a cassette tape and it was wearing out from playing it so much over the years. I am very happy to have it on CD now!
