This is the import version of a U.S. release. The U.S. release is only available in Target stores and at the NBC store in Rockefeller Center in New York City (and likely other NBC stores, if there are any).

If you watched the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting this year, Enya sang "Magic Of The Night" on the air. That is the highlight of this CD and is such a pleasure to hear over and over. It caught my ear immediately, yet Amazon music searches in early December were not turning up any new Enya releases. Was quite frustrated until I discovered that sales were NBC & Target in-store only.

U.S. version contains six tracks: 4 new holiday recordings and 2 previously-released. All are very well done and a joyful addition to her holiday music repertoire. The six tracks are: "Adeste Fideles" (new), "Magic Of The Night" (new), "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" (new), "Christmas Secrets" (new), "Amid The Falling Snow" (from her Amarantine CD) and "Oiche Chuin (Silent Night").

The CD's U.S. title is "NBC Sounds Of The Season: The Enya Collection". It is more than worth the $6.99 that the NBC store and Target stores are charging. If you like Enya, you will like this CD.

Check out Enya's older sister, Moya Brennan (also spelled Maire). What many think is the "Enya sound" was actually developed by the Brennan family band, "Clannad". Moya is the lead singer. They all sound pretty much the same. Moya has an excellent album called "An Irish Christmas", consisting of 12 traditional carols performed in that beautiful ethereal sound we all love. Just do an Amazon search for "Moya". You'll be glad you did!

The other reviewer seems to miss the point - most artists today put tons of music, so you can get your money's worth, but where's the quality? Better four good songs than fifteen lousy ones.

This is an exquisite EP, not anything different from other Enya works, but that is a good thing - she has never put out anything but good music. So you are sure that when you buy an Enya CD, you don't have to worry if you will not like it. It is always mysterious, otherworldly and lovely. Great present for the Holidays or any other time.

This is the Canadian version of the Christmas EP that contains all four of the new Christmas songs. They are all very well done. Recommended.

Maybe I missed it somewhere on the webpage but, this CD only had 4 songs on it. It cost as much as "The Very Best of Enya" CD which has the typical amount of songs on it. The songs are nice but, by the time you put the CD in, and start doing something else, it's over already.

Why are there only 4 songs on this CD? I didn't pay attention to this when I bought it last week and feel like I didn't get a very good deal. The music is lovely but just not enough.

This is a truly beautiful Christmas CD. I enjoy hearing it anytime during the year.

This is the EP which features on the Christmas version of the Amarantine album.

It has all the hallmarks of Enya's music, which means beautiful musical arrangements overlaid with glorious, multi-tracked voices.

Four tracks: "Adeste, Fideles" (or "O Come All Ye Faithful", sung in Latin) is just wonderful and should be the Christmas number 1 (it's the second song on the "It's In The Rain" single (see my review of that); "We Wish You A Merry Christmas", as you've never heard it sung before (it's had an Enya makeover and sounds like Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter) given to someone who can't get enough of Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter - gosh, it's soooooo good; and two original Enya/Roma Ryan songs - "The Magic Of The Night" and "Christmas Secrets", two more beautiful tracks, which make this EP just about the best thing since Turkey and all the trimmings! This is a sheer delight, which you can wallow in if you so desire.

I am not a big fan of Christmas but, strangely, really like the music. Before I bought this, the best Christmas music I had in my collection was Mary Margaret O'Hara's Christmas EP, which is pretty wonderful. This is even better!

Completely sumptuous!

It's a great addition to both a Christmas Music collection or Enya collection!
