Let's get this out of the way first: "The Christmas Song" is a dance-style remix, so don't be surprised when you put it in your CD player. Of course, Christina sounds great in any style and she does a great job with the song. She really shows off her voice in the last two minutes or so.

The remix of "Genie" is also a pleasant surprise. It's a little more upbeat than the radio version, which seems to suit the song better.

Overall, this single is a bargain. Buy it when you have the chance.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I bought this single. Sure, it's only two songs, both of which we've all heard about a million times before. But good lord, we have never heard them like this! When I think of "Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire", I tend to think of a happy little ditty, calm and sweet; something my grandma would actually listen to with me. Christina changed that. I was litteraly blown away when I heard her version of this song. I can't even discribe how many layers there are to it. This is truely the most unique version I've ever heard of "The Christmas Song" and I've heard a bunch. I was even more impressed when I read that Christina herself helped to arange all of the vocals. Wow. You wanna Christmas song that will make you feel hyper and make you want to dance every time you hear it? This is what you're looking for. I was even impressed with the remix version of "Genie In A Bottle". It has this kind of sultriness that the original pop version doesn't have, and I think it's hot. This is a good single, worth the money I payed for it. And even though my grandma probably wouldn't like it, my mom does, so there ya go. Instant crowd pleaser.

A Great Single for Christina Fans!

1.) Chesnuts Roasting On An Open Fire (thunderpuss 2000 Holiday Remix*) - This is a classic remix which is also feat. as a bonus track which you will find on her x-mas album. It is much like a radio mix, and if your not sure what a radio mix is it is a remix which is about the same length of time as the original yet has a fast dance beat, and usually some cool effects thrown in.

2.) Genie in a Bottle (eddit arroyo's smooth mix) -
This is very cool, ultra-calm watered down version of genie in a bottle.

This Cd is a great buy and worth every penny!! $$$

Christina's version of the classic "The Christmas Song" is great. She has hyped it up to include many different levels. She has sung it beautifuly and it is a great song to get you on your feet. Any Christina fan should buy it and any fan of decent music should because this CD is absolutley GREAT!!
p.s. the remix of Genie In A Bottle (Track 2) is also good.

Christina shows off her beautiful voice so perfectly in this song, that even former president Clinton requested she sing it at the 1999 Christmas party. This being my favorite holiday tune by Christina, I don't see how any fan could do without. People who adore carols will fall in love with Christina and those of us who already know what her range is like will go ga-ga upon hearing her stunning rendition. A great gift and a must for anyone who considers themself a true fan.

The Thunderpuss 2000 remix of this song is the best. They have mixed for some of the best. Whitney Houston and Amber. Now Christina joins them. I love this song.

This is a great mix to a classic Christmas song that is usually sung the regular old slow way, (nothing against the way *NSYNC did theirs, I think that was awesome, too!) but there's always room for change! The remix of "Genie in a Bottle" is great, and I love the pretty picture of Christina on the cover. This CD is perfect for you, even if you're not the biggest Christina fan.

This track was the highlight of her dismal 2000 released Christmas album "My Kind of Christmas", and was released a year before hand with great production by Thunderpuss. A holiday classic that is definitely ready for the dance floor, it is accompanied by a sultry R&B coated remix of her smash debut single "Genie In A Bottle" by Eddie Arroyo.

very good song with a cool picture of christina on the cover in a fur coat. the cd has 2 tracks - the holiday remix of the christmas song and genie in a bottle remix......BUY IT!!

This is one great single. It has an awesome remix of the timeless classic "Chesnuts Roasting....." and an awesome remix of Genie In A Bottle. Normally I don't buy singles, but this is an exception! Great job Christina!
