I bought this album back in the early 90s when it came out & it remains one of my favorite Christmas records. If you like traditional Christmas standards with an old-fashioned flair, you'll like this album. The arrangements are very intimate, jazzy, and just plain beautiful. The musicianship is superb, with excellent jazz rhythm and lead guitar work and great horn and vocal arrangements. Taff has a unique voice and adds his distinctive earthy stamp to each of the songs here. I often times find that modern records that attempt to re-capture the sound of the swing & sing eras end up sounding sterile and phony, but that is far from the case with this album - it's the real deal. Merry Christmas!

I own all his music and this cd is awesome. He has such a wonderful voice and talent. I highly recommend this cd to add to your collection.

I've had this album since it first came out, and never tire of it. It just isn't Christmas without Russ. It's classic Christmas tunes with a classy jazz sound that never gets old. No Christmas album collection is complete without it.

This CD was used as store background music during the holiday season immediately following its release in 1993. I fell in love with it immediately... from the unassuming vocals to the rich instrumental accompaniament, Russ Taff delivers favorites in a way that few crooners can.

As a kid, I remember listening to some Christmas music collections that included performances by the likes of Bing Crosby (White Christmas) and Robert Goulet (The Christmas Song). This production rivals those classic recordings; starting from the opening note you're immersed in a beautifully crafted tapestry of sound. The only thing you'll be unhappy with is that the end arrives all too soon.

This Cd is sitting around the fire, it's crunching through the snow, it's embracing your loved ones. The music is the perfect earthy jazz feel, very unpretenious. It is not over produced or commercial sounding, it's like pulling out your guitar and singing with the family only better!!
