The words and music are those of New England composer, George Makredes, whose songs take aim at the meaning of Christmas. New compositions touch upon the varied emotions that invariably emerge each season.

Titled ‘Christmas Spirit’ and featuring The Carolliers™, a wide range of orchestrations gives this CD the feel of a compilation, with each track offering its own individualized yuletide expression.

All of the feelings of Christmas are explored here, from the solemn to the upbeat including big orchestra sounds, choral numbers, solo vocals, done with varied music styles.

Recorded in Boston, produced and arranged by Pericles Kanaris, it celebrates the spirit of Christmas, with images of family, friends, firesides and faith. Christmas Spirit is akin to a singing Christmas card, with fresh new music to cheer, console, and revere that special happening over two millennia ago in Bethlehem, known as Christmas.

The arrangements, lyrics and melodies bring home the message and meaning of Christmas-time, with images of Christmases past and present coming to mind.
