Holly, mistletoe, and death threats galore.
There is nothing like the holiday season to bring out the best in us all -- or maybe it's the launch of Winnie's new line of anti-aging products. Whatever it is, no one can know. Especially Winnie or her over-protective grandson who's visiting for the holidays.

Ellie really has her work cut out her her. It was hard enough hiding the truth of her bodyguard status behind the facade of assistance when it was just Winnie but now she has the overly dreamy grandson to deceive, as well.

Hott Review
What I liked: I enjoyed the plot. It was very interesting and fun, kind of a younger version of a cozy.
What I didn't like: For me, this was one of those books that I kept putting down and wondering why on earth I was reading it. Then I got to the end and thought wow that was good. So, if you're willing to be patient, it's worth it.

About The Book: "What makes you think I'm hiding something?" Ellie busied herself pouring the hot water into a mug. "I get the feeling there's something in your past you don't like to talk about," Colt murmured. "I didn't know full disclosure about all details of my life was necessary for me to get this job. Your grandmother seems satisfied." He dipped his head in a curt nod. "Winnie is a great judge of character." Meaning he had his doubts? One of the reasons she liked being a bodyguard was that she could blend into the background. She kept a lock on her past-a past she didn't want to take out and reexaminie. "If you must know, the short version of my life so far is-" "That's okay-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up something painful." "What do you mean?" "To make sure Winnie was in good hands." She stared into his light blue eyes. "She's in good hands. When I do a job, I do it one hundred percent."

My Thoughts On The Book: Margaret Daley is quite a wordsmith and has written a wonderful story. The book is filled with intrigue, suspense and love thrown in to make for a chilling and wonderfully different kind of Christmas story. The setting is in the beautiful Colorado Mountains, the story takes place is shortly before Christmas. This was a great story. It was laced with just the right amount of suspense to make you sit on the edge of your seat from start to finish and it certainly has enough romance to make your heart skip a beat or two. I did not want to put this book down.I plan to read more by Margaret Daley. She definitely caught my attention.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Net Galley Publishing Group and Harlequin. I was not required to write a positive review. All they asked for was an honest review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255.

Ellie, the female lead and Winnie, the lady she is hired to guide are both storng female characters, not something you always find in romance novels. It was nice to see. There is a little bit of conflict between Ellie and Colt, Winnie's grandson as neither he nor Winnie know Ellie has been hired to guard Winnie after some threats have been made against her.

I really haven't read a book I didn't like so far in this series of books. I read them and then pass them on. Thanks for having REAL books. I'm not in the e-reader books. I still like to have the book and them can pass it on.

It was a great suspenseful Christian romance that definitely left you questioning what would happen next. The Guardians Inc. Series by Margaret Daley is an excellent series to read, and I highly recommend all of them!

A wonderful suspenseful romance. One of my favorite scenes was when Ellie and Colt meet. I didn't figure out who the villian was until the reveal. I also loved the character of Winnie, a 70 plus young woman (a woman after my own heart). I've always enjoyed books written by Margaret Daley. Blessings, Susan Fryman
