5.0 out of 5 stars Simply delightful!
I picked this up just after Christmas because I wanted to re-read "A Christmas Carol." The two additional stories, "The Chimes" and "The Cricket on the Hearth," were new to me although I've read nearly all of the Dickens novels. Delightful! The usual Dickens themes - how human love and goodness can triumph over the evils of poverty, indifference, and avarice - abound. The...

1.0 out of 5 stars Christmas Stories
This printing by General Books is unreadable. Apparently it's scanned from another printing without any proofreading. There are random symbols, missing words, misspelled words and large missing parts of the stories that were supposed to be in this book.

The usual Dickens themes - how human love and goodness can triumph over the evils of poverty, indifference, and avarice - abound. The characters are memorable and colorful, exaggerated yet poignantly familiar. What a great way to wind up the holiday season.

The previous reviewer was talking about a poorly printed paper version, NOT this e-book...

This Kindle-version looks and works great on my Kindle. Nice formatting and table of contents works great. I love the Kindle!

I am a new Charles Dickens convert. I enjoy him much more than I thought. This collection of Christmas stories helped get me into the holiday spirit. A great look back into Victorian England. It was a simpler time. Beautiful writing...

I had no idea that Dickens wrote so many Christmas stories in addition to his well-known, A Christmas Carol. These 21 Christmas stories are great reads!

I had a copy of this book when I was a little girl, and now have acquired a replacement for it. I'm loving having my hands on these junior deluxe editions again.
