Brilliant music, not a huge fan of the vocals,

Ha ha ha
The opening to this song is really cool in my opinion. The, I believe, harmonica in the opening, is played to sound like the whistle of an incoming train. The track is update and fun. Definitely worth the free download, though I'm not sure I would personally purchase the entire album which is, likely the point of the single free track available.

Great alternative to the standards,

If you are growing tired of hearing the same holiday songs again and again, then I highly recommend giving this a try. The song opening sounds like an actual train played on a harmonica. I love the upbeat tempo and the southern/bluesy vocals. It's a lot of fun and appealed to all ages when I played it at a christmas party, and several people asked where they could purchase the song. They were so excited to hear that it is being offered free on Amazon! I agree with the last poster about the rest of the CD, but luckily for us the best song on the album is the free one! Download it... what do you have to lose? Happy Holidays!

Blues Christmas,
This review is from: Christmas Train (MP3 Download)
So this is a blues recording, and the "train" in the title certainly is appropriate as the harmonica used in the opening mimics the sound of a train. The vocals and lyrics are equally as appropriate and I would imagine that big fans of blues music will like this song. I'm not such a big fan, but I can appreciate the quality of this production.
