This item is neither "vinyl" nor from "various artists." It is a single CD which includes two old Ed Ames Christmas albums, "Christmas with Ed Ames" and "Christmas Is the Warmest Time of the Year." There is minimal static on one or two tracks, but overall the sound quality is excellent. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Christmas with Ed Ames was all that I remembered and being able to have it in a CD was an added pleasure. Now I can enjoy Ed's marvelous voice at home or in the car. I highly recommend this item.

The CD is obviously from vynil as is advertised. No scratches or pops, just the old time needle hiss. Even so, the recording is not annoying. This cannot be found elsewhere and for those of us who remember the original, it is the best available.

I am glad we purchashed this as the original albums we have are deteriorated badly. Great for the Christmas season.

This item was not as advertised. I thought I was ordering was 2 vinyl LPs; what I got was a CD with both LPs on it and no track names.

My husband has the equipment to transfer from LPs to CDs; what we wanted was what we ordered---the LP. To be fair, the CD was good, but not what we ordered. Will not buy from this seller again.

I was so pleased to find Christmas with Ed Ames on CD. I'd been looking for years! I grew up with my grandmother playing her vinyl record over and over around the holidays. So it holds a lot of special meaning. There is a smidge of static on a couple songs from the vinyl. But it is minimal and actually adds a bit of character. What a voice! I just bought a copy for my mom, too!

Who would have thought that one of my best memories and what I look forward to about the Christmas season is an album of music sung by a "Secular Jew" as he called himself. Ed maybe my favorite singer or at least right near the top of my list. It's A Man's World is my favorite album with the Christmas albums right next to it. The Pop stuff never really exploited his talent. RCA needs to remaster these(in CD) and offer them to the generations of his fans so they're preserved. It seems that "real music" has been replaced by something else.

I remember the songs on an Christmas with ED Ames record and then everyone went to the CD's I had to get it. Everyone of the sogns are very good. And I hope everyone will place a comment on the songs and everything else.

As promised, very quick shipment/delivery. Excellent recording quality. Thank you for saving these "lost" recordings! 22 wonderful Christmas songs as only Ed Ames can sing them. "Christmas w/Ed Ames" (1967) and "Christmas is the Warmest Time of the Year" (1974).

This album was such a wonder, Ed's voice was supreme. Wish it was on CD...it's a keeper!!

this is a great Christmas album. I too have been searching for it as a CD. We would play this every Christmas while growing up and then when my nieces and nephews arrived. Everybody quieted for the Ballad of the Christmas Donkey. Hope RCA listens.
