wonderful
I got this book because it was put out by the best--the Victoria magazine folks. It is simply beautiful. And the recipes are delectable. All in all it was everything I expected from the best. RC

Long on looks, short on information
If you are looking for a book that teaches you about how the Victorian's spent Christmas, this is not it (go for "Victorian Christmas" by Kalman and Bedell). If you are looking for a book of beautiful pictures, with minimal decorating, plus gift and recipe selections a la Martha, this is for you. I was disappointed.
