5.0 out of 5 stars An inspiring Chritmas story
This is the fourth in a series of Christmas books that Thomas Kincaid has taken a part in the writing thereof. The novels are set in the ficticious town of Cape Light and as you read each one you become more familiar with the citizens and their families and the daily lives they lead.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the others
I was thrown off balance by this sudden appearance of these brand new characters. I understand to keep a series fresh that new people must be added, but I was very disappointed that there was no checking in with the other major characters that we've all come to know and love in series. People like Luke and Sara, Mayor Emily's new husband and new baby, just to name a few...

This is the fourth in a series of Christmas books that Thomas Kincaid has taken a part in the writing thereof. The novels are set in the ficticious town of Cape Light and as you read each one you become more familiar with the citizens and their families and the daily lives they lead.
There is always a test of faith and courage involved. This new novel is especially charming and inspiring. Trust, doubt, belief and values make up the content.
I found "A Christmas Visitor' especially moving as each person faced and solved their problems with the aid of some special people and an 'Angel' that visits Cape Light for the Christmas season.
I look forward every year to Kincaid's Christmas stories.
The other four books are equally as good as they too take place in Cape Light just in a different time of year.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice addition to series, October 20, 2007
I am a huge fan of the 'Cape Light' series. This book was definately better than the last installment but it's the 4th christmas themed book that they've put out. It would be nice to see a change of setting in the next book besides Christmas. There were 3 story lines to follow in this one and although I understood and could easily follow them, I found myself wishing they were a bit more 'filled' out. For someone who has not been reading the series, they would like this book but should start from the beginning to fully grasp the stories. Nice book to cozy up and read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Christmas Tale, September 5, 2008
Are you looking for a sweet work of fiction to help put you in the Christmas spirit? "A Christmas Visitor" by Katherine Spencer and Thomas Kinkade may be just what you are looking for. Escape to the small New England town of Cape Light where everyone's lives are interconnected and multiple lives are about to experience some Christmas magic.

There are actually three Christmas visitors in this tale. The first is a man found in a field who has apparently suffered from an accident and is experiencing amnesia. The second visitor is a statue of an angel which mysteriously appears in the basement of a small church. The last is an unexpected pregnancy. These three visitors will radically change the lives of those they touch.

"A Christmas Visitor" is a very appealing story that will leave you smiling and your heart full of the wonder of Christmas this holiday season.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Christmas Book, January 9, 2008
I've enjoyed the Cape Light novels. This book is about Miranda Potter, Molly Willoughby, and a mysterious angel that surfaces at the local church. Even if you haven't read the previous novels, you can read & enjoy this one as it is a complete novel unto itself. It's a good, clean, pleasurable read.

It is a beautiful book. It came in great shape and the packaging was perfect. I haven't read it yet because it was delivered to my Mo. address, but as soon as I get to Mo., it will be read because I really like Thomas Kinkade books. They are so up-lifting and down to earth. They make a person feel good inside and out. He is a very special author.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Christmas Visitor: A Cape Light Novel, February 8, 2010

This book was very enjoyable. I have found this series of Cape light books to be interesting and maintained my attention as I read. I usually do not like series but I found these to be very well written and not totally dependent on reading them in order. Especially since I started with next to the last book and not the first.

I loved the book and highly recommend it to people who want to live a true Christmas atmosphere, away from the dirty and ugly world....
It is so refreshing to be able to read a book which can be interesting, alive and real without all the cussing and ugliness that our world mostly offers today.
Very good and looking forward to the next one.

1.0 out of 5 stars One aspect bothered me here...., October 24, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I love these Cape Light Novels, but the presence of this angel in the form of a figurine bothered me a bit in this one. The fact that the story seemed to claim that it had a "healing" presence to it is what bothered me. I believe in miracles and I believe in angels, but it being in this form almost smacked of idolatry of an object to me. The rest of the story I enjoyed. That's why I would have to give it only a one star.
