I'm a huge film buff, but if I could only have one video, this would be the one I'd choose. Recorded live in December of 1998, it's what Christmas is all about. There's a peace I feel when I play this. It puts a smile on my face and in my heart.
Plácido Domingo ! Such warmth and goodness flows from this man, and with his magnificent voice and elegance, he's one of the all-time greats.
Alejandro Fernández is beyond description. What a gift from God to the world this man is ! The voice, the soul, the beauty, the grace. You have to hear and see this to believe it.
The stunning Patricia Kaas, with her sultry unique style, is wonderful, and she has a strong enough presence to hold her own between these two extraordinary men. The children's chorus is exquisite, the orchestra, conducted by Steven Mercurio, is superb, and the editing terrific.
There are so many wonderful songs..."Blanca Navidad" ("White Christmas") is a blessing captured on video, and is truly "Un mensaje de amor y de paz". I love "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", "Hay que Sembrar en Navidad" with its beautiful, moving lyrics, and the glorious "Silent Night" finale...and so much more.
There aren't enough stars to give this video, or words to recommend it. Just buy it and let it lift your spirit and fill your heart with joy any day of the year.

Picked up this DVD by accident - just wanted some Christmas music and got pure heaven. Domingo shone but Kaas and Fernandez were unbelievable. The blending of Kaas and Fernandez on Here is Christmas transports you to new emotional heights and Alejandro's rendition of A Little Drummer Boy showcases a wonderful voice. It is the Christmas CD or DVD to own and share with ALL your friends and neighbors. I couldn't wait to find out more about Fernandez and Kaas and hope they do something together again. Spectacular album and video

Este video contiene unos de los momentos mas hermosos del concierto navideño en Viena. Alejandro Fernandez cantando en dueto con Placido Domingo es algo inolvidable. El tenor Placido Domingo con su divina voz conmueve, al cantar versos "Buenos Reyes" y "Hay Que Sembrar en Navidad." Es impresionante ver como el cantante Alejandro Fernandez muestra su gran talento en música traditional como la baladas de Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" y "The Little Drummer Boy" en Español! Esta colleción incluye canciones en varios idiomas: Inglés, Español, Alemán y Francés. Cada piesa incluye el nombre del titulo y el compositor. Quizá lo mas gracioso fue escuchar el harmonioso gama de voces del coro de niños. La orchestra es del calibre de la banda de Glenn Miller. Para los que apreciaría escuchar más de Patricia Kaas, pueden obtener el álbum en Francés "Ce Sera Nous" que salió abril de este año.
