5.0 out of 5 stars Howard Roffman's Travels, Tales, and Imagery
This book may be an older release (2008) of the work of photographer Howard Roffman but it is a very fine collection of light hearted and sensual imagery. Known for his widely collection of the Bel Ami group of healthy young fit and seductive lads, here Roffman tells the stories of nine boys from all around the world at their most alluring and erotic. 3.0 out of 5 stars back at home
After his distant journey to South Africa, which produced The Boys of Bel Ami (Howard Roffman's most innovative and technically perfect book), the photographer has returned to his home in San Francisco and provides photos of his young friends that remind us of previous photos seen in older books by the gifted artist. This review is from: Christopher and the Boys (Bruno Gmunder Verlag) (Hardcover)
Starting with Christopher, a small-town boy vacationing in San Francisco, these beautiful black and white photos take us on a whirlwind tour to the Grand Canyon, where German exchange student Tolga communes with nature; a deserted beach, where aspiring British actor J.C. plays in the sea and sand; and more.

What sets this particular book apart is the implied narrative that accompanies the photographs. Roffman also gives a brief introduction to the models, making the book al the more personal and inviting. His images capture the beauty, innocence and unashamed, explicit sexuality of young guys. Roffman has earned his position as one of the finest photographers of the male figure and this book shows it off very well. Grady Harp, November 11

Nothing new, in fact, with the exception of J.C.'s discovery, the amazing British male counterpart of Marilyn Monroe - yes, it sounds odd but just watch his pictures.....
