5.0 out of 5 stars excellent researched and scholarly, April 11, 2003
By A Customer
This book is definately a masterpiece. Dr. Clarke was truly a genuis, he goes through the slave trade and shows the roles of both various European world imperialist powers, and african empires that played a role in the slave trade. He uses referrences from portuguese and spanyard sources that shows the role of Christopher Colombus, and his crew men in the african holocaust as well as the holocaust against the indigenous people of america. He shows how the crusades played a crucial role in the second rise of europe and its exploitation of most of the world. This book is excellent, it is well researched and it answers questions to many unknown or know but unanswered questions. The personality of Christopher Colombus and europe's mentality towards the rest of the world has been exposed. I seriously recommend this book for all who are interested in the subject.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christopher Columbus and the Afrikan Holocaust, November 7, 2005
By G. Gary (North Carolina) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Dr. Clarke's work continues to provide insight and place characters and events in history in their proper historical context.

His presence continues to missed. Dr. Clarke challenges the lies, mis-information and confusion that has whitewashed Afrikan people and the rest of the world with regard to this ignorant johnny-come-lately, lost sailor thug-criminal wannabe. This book is a must read, that provides a tremendous bibliography to further educate, prepare and inspire the reader for further study.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Where's our Memorial", January 2, 2006
By Richard J. Godbolt (Willingboro,Place of Rebirth) - See all my reviews
Dr. Clarke presents to us an interesting book that asks the question "Where's our Memorial?" The Jews, Irish and Asians remember what happened to them, but somewhere down the line, we forgot. As Dr. Clarke says this was the biggest crime in history. Europeans set in motion a type of slavery that was inhumane and savagelike.
Another misconception is that the Afrikans, and Natives Europeans encountered were brought "civilization." This couldn't be further from the truth because the European just denounced any culture they didn't understand. What is most interesting as well is 700 years earlier the European was enslaved and brought out of the Dark Ages because of the Moors(Afrikans) and Arabs. The Moors introduced chess, public baths, water systems, 70 universities and brought literacy to the kings and queens of Europe. The same Afrikans they enslaved on the Gold Coast(read the book to understand why it is Gold Coast) had been the ones to birth their enlightenmet. Also Europe(who were the only ones) believed the world was flat in their ignorance. Afrikans already knew this wasn't true based on two voyages. One was with the king of Mali, and the other maybe in the time of Ramesees III. For more on this read They Came before Columbus.

Thank You Dr. Clarke
