5.0 out of 5 stars Super tribute to a super man December 1, 2007
Extraordinary documentary and a beautiful, intimate look into the life of the Reeve family after the tragic accident that changed their lives forever.

Matthew Reeve and company did an amazing job with this film, I only wish we could have seen the trilogy completed. More importantly, I wish we could have seen Christopher achieve his goal of getting up out of the chair and walking again. There is no doubt in my mind it is exactly what he was going to do. Sadly it just wasn't meant to be.

Christopher was my childhood hero. He was my hero growing up because of the Superman he portrayed on screen. He was my hero as an adult because of the Superman he became to millions of people around the world when he refused to give up even in the face of seemingly impossible odds.

Thank you to Matthew, Alexandra, Will and the rest of the Reeve family for sharing these moments with us. Christopher and Dana both have inspired so many people with the example they set and the fearless lives they led. May they both rest in peace, and may their legacy continue through the CDRF and the beautiful family they leave behind.

I cherish this DVD and I will watch it over and over again. The documentary speaks for itself. Anyone who is a fan of Christopher, or a Superman fan in general, will treasure this documentary. Anyone who has had to face any type of disability or overwhelming obstacles in their lives also will find great inspiration in their story. The special features, including the extra interview footage with Christopher, are great as well.

I know Christopher would be proud of his son's accomplishment.

Go Forward.

4.0 out of 5 stars A story of Hope and Courage and Love November 11, 2007
By TBo
I had the incredible fortune of getting to know the Reeve family through my position with The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, CT following Chris' accident.

I had even met all 3 of his children. Matthew's tribute to the strength and courage of is father as amazing.

I am even more touched by Chris' determination in the face of 8 years of paralysis and the honesty that Matt documents it. This is for anyone who thinks their situation is hopeless.

Way to go Matt and God Bless!

Still a shame our dear brother Christopher Reeve had gone too soon to be with the Kingdom of Heaven in Peace with no Pain nor Suffering along faithfully reunited with his wife Dana Reeve (whom since passed 2 years later)....I cannot tell you have grateful and impressed these first two documentaries really changed my life and why there's still a chance for survival and always looking for real answers.

Christopher Reeve was the ultimate Superman and always will be, but in truth he was also a great actor, a talented piano player, an independent person, a great father to his children, and was a great activist and supporter involving people with spinal cord injuries. I too an expert involving Health and other stuff, and understand what's really going on.

People out here who are dealing with all kinds of adversaries, situations, disabilities, frustrations, curses, etc. in life and at work....We got to think first for ourselves we can accomplish while we're still here on this earth each day we get up. There are two things we think in mind i.e. The Ego and the Self. So what can we do and whom we need to pay attention on?

It's all through the Mind and the Spirit folks....

People who want info should visit the website for The Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Foundation and try to get involved.

Christopher Reeve, you were one of a kind and was ahead of your time, you are forever missed and not forgotten.

5.0 out of 5 stars Christopher Reeve was a fighter September 29, 2013
Format:Amazon Instant Video|Verified Purchase
His son produced and directed this movie. It's really well done. I read a book that Christopher Reeve wrote (Still Me) and I loved it. In this DVD (Hope in Motion) one can see the battle that Chris describes in his book. I always admired him as an actor and I'm so sorry that he didn't walk at least a little before dying. But he'll be remembered always because he left, with his wife Dana, a Foundation that will continue his work. And besides he left three marvelous children that will always fight together with the foundation to change the laws as Chris fought before.
