This review is from: Christy- Christmastime at Cutter Gap (Hardcover)
This book for ages 4-8 is the perfect starting point to introduce children to the "Christy" story by Catherine Marshall, as well as the TV series now available on DVDs.In "Christy Christmastime at Cutter Gap", Miss Huddleston announces school closed for Christmas vacation and the students share how they will celebrate Christmas. Ruby Mae makes up a plan to spend the day with her father. Ruby Mae goes to the empty run down cabin, to hide behind her lie. Then an accident. In the end, all is well. It is a short book that not only introduces a few of the Christy characters from the original story, but also points out the gifts of love, compassion, sharing, and forgiveness that can be a part of Christmastime. Here's one to read at the family Christmas get-together, or even in the summer to thrill a young child. Pure "Cutter Gap" charm throughout. Completely filled with full page and two-page color painting illustrations by Bill Farnsworth. |
