With the popularity of line dancing in the 90's, line dancing will go down in the history books as one of the most widely accepted dance forms of this decade. We had to produce this video to keep up with the changing times and most up to date versions of each of these dances. The best thing about this video is that you can follow along with Christy's Complete Guide to Line Dancing Book and Christy's Line Dancing Music CD or cassette. It is sort of an encyclopedia of line dance and should be in every teacher's video library. Happy Dancing!

I have used this video to intoduce my elementary students to basic line dance steps. Christy has a wonderful way of teaching in a fun, yet understandable manner. My upper elementary students were able to catch on to the steps without frustration, unlike other line dance videos I've used. Christy breaks down the harder steps into small segments so that it doesn't overwhelm the new learner. If you want to learn a variety of line dances with ease, this is the video to purchase. Christy also comes to the Texas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance Convention each year and attracts a huge crowd that is eager to learn her old favorites, as well as the latest dance moves. If you have the opportunity to see her in person, she will inspire you to attempt any style of dance. She has many other wonderful videos that I have also used. I have never been dissatisfied with any of her products.

My hat is off to Christy Lane for producing this great dance video! Finally a tape where the instructor puts her back to the camera so I don't have to turn my head 180 degrees to learn the steps. I bought this video because most line dance videos only have about 5 dances and this one has 22 so I definitely got my moneys worth. Christy did a great job in the terminology section breaking each step down so when I got to the intermediate and advanced line dances, I was able to breeze through them. This video was a great resource for all the #1 classic line dances that hit big. I highly recommend it - take it from a real Texan!

Sheesh, I never had to hit rewind so many times in my life!!!! If I'm buying this Old Dance video at a very high price, it's obvious that I'm a severe beginner in this style of dance, at a late state... Reviewing the terminology was good and the first few dances it was broken down nicely. She takes each pattern one at a time and starts from the beginning of the dance after each,,, but... once you pass the third dance it's like... Oh gee, let me show you this while I dance it. No more breaking down, no more start from the beginning for each pattern it's like... oh watch me ... this is it ok let's do it to music. And the music, by the way ... ewwww, but ok there might be some copyright issues in putting the actual songs on the tape, but then again... at..., you'd think you were already paying royalties. I'd do the same if I just went to a club and watched them dance it and tried to jump in on the second way around.... I'm very disappointed.
