This Chroma Type 301 paring knife features a sharply pointed 3-1/4-inch blade, ideal for peeling fruit, sculpting veggie garnishes, and removing blemishes from potatoes, pears, and avocadoes. Weighty for its size and well-balanced, this knife comes in handy for all sorts of kitchen uses, and will bring you years of pleasure. After use, Chroma knives should be immediately washed and dried by hand, and placed in a storage block for safekeeping. To sharpen, use only a Chroma original 301 ceramic whetstone, never a sharpening steel which can damage the fine blades. Chroma Type 301 knives make exceptional gifts and are covered by a lifetime warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

This review is from: Chroma 3-1/4-Inch Paring Knife (Kitchen)
As a hobby chef who loves to use only the best, I am truly impressed with these knives. I have all of them and don't use anything else anymore. Stays sharp longer than others too. I am giving them as Christmas presents to everone who loves to be in the kitchen!

The Porsche Chroma 301 knives are amazing. I have a paring knife and a chef's knife, and they are both the best knives in my kitchen. They're amazingly sharp and perfectly balanced. I do have to warn you, though, that the 3.25" paring knife has a hazardous tendency to ROLL on the counter. If you don't deliberately place it blade-down, it will roll so that it is blade-up, and that is certainly dangerous, if you value your fingers.

This knife is small. It was surprising how small it was compared to how it appeared in the pictures.
This knife is expensive. This knife is made in China. Why buy it? It's beautiful! I doubt I will ever cut anything with it. But it came up in a Gold Box deal and I couldn't resist. It comes packaged in a nice box that is also quite appealing (like Apple iPods). Overall, I'm quite happy with this purchase.
