I purchase a Classic Car Calendar every year for the last 20 yrs.Chrome Car Classics,2007 Calendar is one of the best I have had. Great cars both popular and very popular cars. That is what I liked most about it.

Michael Furman is to the automobile what Ansel Adams was to the landscape.,

Furman's photography of automobiles is second to none. That being said, I sure wish he'd risk venturing outside and shooting them in their natural environment now and then. The sterile, antiseptic, prop-less, scale-challenged studio look becomes rather one dimensional after awhile. I realize that by going outside he would lose his retentive, obsessive control of the lighting that is so critical in showing off an automobiles's lines and details. But their comes a time when the "Harrah's Hangar" look can potentially bore the eyes to sleep. Automobiles are not happy being couped up inside all the time. They are happiest when they are outdoors doing what they were designed to do -- cruising America's highways and byways and soaking up some scenery along the way! A happier automobile makes for a better photographic subject. Furman is more than skilled enough to make the transition to the great outdoors. His new motto should be, "Have camera, will travel." Instead of the automobiles coming to him, he should consider going to the automobiles! There's nothing like just before sunrise or just after sunset to get that look in a near cloudless sky that has the ability to transform a classic automobile and give it a glow that will bring it to life like no studio could ever hope to!
