This book is filled with useful information,
By Rider Boy (Regina, Alberta, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Chrome Cowgirl Guide to the Motorcycle Life (Paperback)
I've been traveling around the country on motorcycles since 1984, and have put on over half a million miles on the road, and even though I'm a man, I found lots of useful information here. And the information in this book that was aimed at women rang true, too--I wish my ex-wife had had this book when we traveled together. Women encounter lots of problems that would never even cross a dude's mind, problems for which there are solutions aplenty in these pages. This book is a must-read for women who want to become real motorcyclists (as opposed to posers on bikes), and a fun read for everyone else.

Author has written a lite book for novice riders with the sage advice of "just do it" for all the women who are considering riding their own bike. Too much fluff and cheerleading, not enough solid knowledge.

I haven't read a book this fun since I read Billy Lanes 'It ain't a motorcycle Baby'.I found Sasha to have a great sense of humor, a great outlook on life, great road advice and I wouldn't mind helping her tend Bar.This book leaves you feeling good about everything including the cat. Great Pic's, good road tips, cute napkin art, and a good story. I recognized a few of her showcased friends. This Woman Rides!
We at motorcycle [...] will showcase this book March 09. Great Job Shasha!!!

Just started riding and I bought this book thinking I'd get some practical riding tips from a women's point of view. It does have some interesting sections, but I thought that, overall, the book wasn't quite what I was looking for. I was hoping for some stories from the road. Chrome Cowgirl's focus is more on the spiritual side of riding, which is great on one level, but as a new motorcyclist, I'm really just looking for info on how to ride. Working out my motorcycling mojo can come later! I'm sure I'll be refering back to this book once I've got more miles under my belt.
