Biography

Imagine, if you will, a yacht. It’s forged of gold and strong African teak, bobbing gently at anchor somewhere between the French Riviera and Detroit. A statue of the late Roger Troutman is affixed to the stern like a guardian angel. The ladies of Klymaxx wander the decks serving strawberries and cream on silver platters. Sylvester himself is the skipper, and Hall & Oates are down below, keeping… Read more in Amazon's Chromeo Store

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff!, March 25, 2007
The first song isn't great, but it does a good job of setting up the rest of the music on this cd. From track 2 on, it captures that whole 80's electro dance funk. It's a lot of fun! Very high-spirited nostalgic cd that definitely would keep a dance floor moving from track 2 on. I'm thinking maybe today's generation would get into it too as long as the dj is using a good system where people can feel the bass on the floor, and that kick smacking you around in the chest. But then again, that's the only way people should be playing and listening to music.

This review is from: Chromeo Presents Un Joli Mix Pour Toi (Audio CD)
This is a mix of old school funk jams, assembled by Chromeo. The songs are really good and rare early 80's stuff. They have another such mix out called Se Coir on Danse or something where they dont even list the artists. I emailed them about this asking why they didnt list the artists and song names and if I could get a list; they didnt respond... big surprise. Sounds like someone wants to sell records without paying royalties... welcome to the music industry.
