Once again everything I expected and more. What a great follow up to closer to the sun. No punk songs on this albumn (whick kinda dissapoints me), but it's ok. I'm not sure there should be any ont this album. The whole album grooves perfect together from track to track (17 tracks). Bought this album first thing this morning. Fortunally I have a job where I drive a lot and was able to listen to it straight thrugh 3 times. No skipping tracks here people (Not that I do with any of their albums anyway). Good job, again fellas!

Sweet Sound,
This review is from: Chronchitis (Audio CD)
Superb sound on this album. This is a great chill album and perfect for coming after the Closer to the Sun album, which was upbeat. With songs like "Ocean" and "Jimi" will really give you the feeling that you are actually close to the waves. Angelo Moore of Badfish ads some great vocals to the song "Ever Really Wanted" and G. Love stops in to record "Baby I Like It." With these guest artists and the already amazing sound that is Slightly Stoopid why would one even question about getting this album. Do your self a favor and get this CD so that you can also get infected with Chronchitis.

I just listened to this album and I am a little disappointed. All of the songs were slower with i guess you could say laid back but not in the way that collie man is. It just didn't seem the same I love their other stuff from acoustic roots to closer to the sun but Chronchitis didn't do it for me it was too flat. I'll listen to it some more an see if it makes a difference but I just hope when I see them they don't just play their new stuff. Don't get me wrong it's not a bad CD it's just
(in my a opinion) sub par.

Little Disappointed,
This review is from: Chronchitis (Audio CD)
I've been a Slightly Stoopid fan some time after Everything You Need came out, and I have to say that I was disappointed with this album. The problem here is slow, monotonous, repetitive songs... and TOO many of them. There is too much filler in this album. 17 songs, ALL of which share the same sound, is unnecessary. Granted, some of the songs are great. But nothing can really stand out!
I love the songs Digital, 2am, The Other Side, and Above the Clouds, but I can hardly recognize these highlights over a lot of the other lackluster tracks. Where is the Wiseman, or Officer sound? Wheres the Fireshot, or Closer to the Sun sound? It seems like the band reduced their wide array of sounds to one chill, weed-tokin sound, which is a good sound, but not one to compose a whole 17-track album to.

This is the first SS album I bought, and i kinda regret it. Should have listened to their previous CDs first, I think it would have helped me digest this one better. This is basically a reggae album with some kind of soul refference that sounds interesting! The listening is not bad at all, but may get a little repetitive. Very well produced, also. I just don't get one thing... Is the guy faking a jamaica accent?? I thought he was kidding at first, but I'm affraid he isn't.......

I am a recent fan of Slightly Stoopid, and this is also the first record I bought. I was astounded. Some of the other reviews call this album "sub-par" but if you like acoustic jam/chill music, then you will fit right into the world that is "Chronchitis." The saxophone is a really interesting choice, and it's the same groovy beats as before. Great Choice!!!

I bought this item and it exceeded my expectations more than I could have imagined. This would make for a great chilled Christmas present. What a great way to bring in the new year with the sounds of Slightly Stoopid to warm your soul on those cold or warm wicked winter days. The new Stoopid album Chronchitis is one of their best yet. Anyone who is familiar with their previous work will be pleasantly surprised by the growth in the newest album. In particular tracks such as Ocean and Above the Clouds clearly demonstrate the growth the band has encompassed in their music and lyrics. Another song which takes the album to new heights is 2am and The Otherside featuring Guru of Jazzmatazz fame. Check out this album for some chill sounds and great music.

It just keeps getting better and better. Their music has definitely evolved and for the better. I love this album. It has been stuck in my cd player since it's release. For those who don't own the album yet I would suggest buying it as soon as possible. Definitely would make a great gift for the holidays :) These guys are also great live, make sure to catch one of their shows if they come to a city near you.
