Book Description

Chronic Fear is the second installment of Scott Nicholson’s chilling Fear series, which began with the harrowing Liquid Fear. The story picks up one year after the notorious Monkey House trials, from which the tiny handful of survivors have scattered in the wind. For while the unwitting human guinea pigs are still alive, the experimental drugs to which they were subjected continue to wreak havoc on their emotional stability. World-renowned neurobiologist Dr. Alexis Morgan knows first-hand the horrors of the sadistic experiment: her husband, Mark, was one its victims. As a result, he is plagued by unpredictable bouts of rage and paranoia. Dr. Morgan’s research into the drug leads her to suspect presidential candidate and U. S. Senator Daniel Burchfield of plotting to gain control of the drug for his own purposes, a power play that is sure to result in countless casualties unless she and three Monkey House survivors can outwit the shadowy figures behind the conspiracy—if they don’t lose their own sanity first.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT SURPRISED! December 23, 2011
By Leslie
Format:Kindle Edition
Let me clarify the title of my review, NOT SURPRISED. I mean that I am NOT SURPRISED that this, too is an excellent book by one of my favorite authors. As always, Scott Nicholson delivers! It is very hard for me to give any book a 5-star review. That can be very misleading & deceiving, and puts my own reputation on the line. However, for the book CHRONIC FEAR, I have no reservations rating this book (and the author) with 5 "GOLDEN" stars! I have been following Scott Nicholson since I read his book, TRANSPARANT LOVERS" which was free on my Kindle last summer...and I have been hooked ever since. I do not want to compare Scott Nicholson to other authors, as I see other reviewers have done, because I do not think that is fair to him. He is in a league all his own, and deserves no bias or comparisons, based on someone who would then be expecting him to write like someone else. Do yourself a favor, and order CHRONIC FEAR for your Kindle or Nook. It will be an excellent read while you are home for the weekend...if it even takes you that long to get through the book, as you probably won't be able to put the book down!

Scott Nicholson has another hit here! What's better than Liquid Fear? Chronic Fear! Gotta give this book a read. Nicholson knows how to write thrill rides from start to finish. Once you pick up this book you won't want to put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eagerly Anticipated Follow-Up December 23, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
There are few books that I've looked forward to more than Nicholson's follow-up to his exciting thriller Liquid Fear. In Chronic Fear, the stakes are raised and the thrills continue. Nicholson's expert writing pulls the reader in and never lets go. If you enjoy smart, sophisticated thrillers, make sure to read this one.

You will too if you read this book. None of the characters are very likable. The dialogues were stilted and phony. The ending left things up in the air. Read more

Excellent novel. Cannot wait for the next one. Seethe will keep rearing it's head up. As long as people know it exists, the fight will continue.
