C.S. Lewis's enchanting tale comes to life in this classic BBC adaptation from 1988. When young Second World War evacuee Lucy Pevensie hides in an old wardrobe during a game of hide and seek, she finds herself transported to the magical land of Narnia, locked in eternal winter by the evil White Witch. Her siblings do not believe her when she tells them of this strange new world, but they are soon in Narnia themselves, fighting alongside the noble lion Aslan to defeat the witch and her mighty army. This set includes the following complete stories from the book series: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe; Prince Caspian; The Voyage of the Dawn Treader; The Silver Chair.

This production of Narnia in the series is very well done. We enjoyed it a lot and surely recommend it to anyone who enjoys this genre of movie.Published 3 months ago by Richard L. Honnick

Kellerman's White witch may seem theatrical for modern viewers. Well-accented in a way the drama becomes a stage hit. I hope she will be invited for the Dawn Treader Premere providing photo ops for two white witches.

But as a fan, I bought it mainly for the new extras, which are cool if you really like the series. Also, this editions presents... Read More

Unfortunately, this DVD doesn't have Greek subtitles. I know because I own it. Just so you know, Amazon people will probably never see your comments so they won't answer. As for movies with Greek subtitles, they may be hard to find in the US. I really don't know to find movies on here that have... Read More

I'm pretty sure the first DVD release of this set is not captioned...but the newer release from 2010 might be. I should look for the set at the library first, and if it has captions, I will definitely buy a... Read More

It's basically a blown-up picture of the cover. Not worth it, IMHO.
