This is a beautiful lace and great for those times when you want to kick out a project quickly, or you've gotten bogged down on a big slow project and want a change. The lace does have lots of sewings but they are easier than in most laces, so they don't require perfect eyesight.
In creating this book, I tried to make sure that there was something for everyone: overview diagrams for experienced lacemakers, step by step thread-based diagrams for beginners, and detailed text-based descriptions of what to do for those people who prefer text over pictures. My feeling is that if students can understand the lace, they can then start to push it where they want it to go; in this way the art of lace making stays alive and healthy.
