I must say that of all the books that I've read from Chilton, this has got to be a serious joke. Those of us who buy these books buy them so we can learn the material. The way this one was written, it seems almost as if you wrote it for people who already know these things. I'm very disappointed in this book and hope that a revised edition will be published. CHILTON! What happen to you?,

Let me start by saying this is not the first book I have read by you. All your books in the past have helped me tremendously sorry to say this book left out many very important information that caused me lots of trouble and money. One example is with the installation of a simple single fuel injector(TBI). First of all you should have mentioned using a lubricant on the O rings I did not use any so the injector leaked but i did not know what was wrong. Second you should have said how to check for leaks by fliping the key in the on position and check injector for wetness. Another example is the TPS you should have said how to check it for VOLTAGE and how to adjust it. I can go on and on. It seems like you tried to finish this book as fast as you can to collect your money. Please understand that if I new how to do the job I would not need this book. Please give more detail, if you need to charge more than do it. The actual book I have a problem with is CHRYSLER FRONT WHEEL DRIVE 1981-92 #7163 If this is not the book in mention im sorry. I hope you will take this seriously and make some changes that will make CHILTON #1 like it used to be. Yours Trully, Sam, A dedicated costumer

Terrible service manual...it's missing a lot of info and has careless errors...,

I've used Chilton's manuals before and generally had very good experiences with them. No single manual was perfect, but errors and things I had to figure out by guessing were far and few between.
This particular manual is a very good study in how not to do something. The illustrations are of poor quality, and some aspects of the vehicles covered by this manual have not even been included. (This is especially true of vehicles manufactured with the 2.6L Mitsubishi engine that Chrysler offered during certain model years.) I would strongly suggest that you look elsewhere for a better written manual. You might even try to find the Chrysler factory service manual. As another reviewer said, this manual feels as though it were slapped together very quickly just to get it out the door and on the store shelves. I would hope that the people at Chilton's issue a vastly improved version of this manual. Until then, you should save your money or look elsewhere.
