Chumburung is a Ghanaian language and by 69.000 (2004 SIL) speakers (including 2,700 Yeji speakers) is used. Their spreading has Chumburung between that Volume TA artificial lake in the south and that Daka (river) River in the northwest. Yeji is spoken south the volume TA artificial lake.

Alternative names are Nchumburung, Nchimburu, Nchummuru and Kyongborong. Dialects are north Chumburung (Banda), south Chumburung (Lonto, Gurubi, Chinderi, Bejamse, Borae), Yeji (Yedji).

Chumburung points agreements to 66 % with Yeji, to 79 % also Kplang, to 78 % also Crack, to 69 % also Dwang (language), to 67 % also Nawuri and Gichode and to 60 % also Gonja up.
