So the idea is to attach your original camera's wrist strap along side of this floatable strap. Once both are attached you send the original strap thru the yellow float strap (thru the hole for your wrist) and then send your entire camera thru your original strap on the other side. This is what I call lassoing your original strap to your float strap as a backup cord. This way you get a secure connection to your camera. And now the float is safe and functional.
Plus the other alternative floats are bulky and ugly in my opinion, and I like the look and feel of this one. And now that it is functional I use it all the time in the water.
I added pictures for added support. Hope this helps!!
PS. Chums should have made a better product in the first place, but lets make lemonade out of a lemon!

It does what it's intended to do! It kept my waterproof camera floating like it says. The hardest part is remembering to attach the darn thing, because it's a little bit bulky. Read morePublished 13 days ago by Brett Langley

I attached this to a Water-shot pro phone case. Between the case and the phone, it was pretty heavy. This kept the whole unit floating at the surface no problem. Read morePublished 1 month ago by CaptLoveBug
