This handbook, writen by several authors, is a solid collection of some basic administrative information. Although several chapters are not as well developed as they could be, there is enough here to get you started. To balance this shortcoming, there are extensive lists of additional readings that can provide more detail. There are chapters on finances, special events, staff, leadership, organization, and more.

This book was wonderfully constructed. It is a must have for all pastors, chairmen of deacons, trustees and administrative assistants. If you have a question about how a proceedure should be done, more than likey this book has covered it. It will certainly be a compliment to your personal library.

Powers has written a useful (but bland) text outlining many of the tasks that are essential to effective church ministry. This is a highly recomended book for those looking to become administrators of churches or non-profit ministries.

This book offers a great deal of practical information for any church leader. There are actual forms in the book that you can reproduce for many departments within the church. Many topics such as team building, food services, and liability issues are covered in this wonderful text. I use this book on a weekly basis.

After having met Dr. Powers and reading his book, I beileve him to be a gifted and passionate administrator and teacher. This book covers many of the prinicple topics of Church Administrative and is a great resource for new administrators and leaders as well experienced individulas needing a refresher. This has been reccomended reading for many of our members and will continue to be so in the future.

The informational contents of the book itself is good reading, very informative. The problem I encountered with the book is in the difficulty which has now presented itself in reading it. After only a few days, the pages began to come loose from the binding and are now falling out. I have never had this happen on any other hardbound book I have ordered from Amazon. I would have returned the book but by the time this issue surfaced, I had already put my name in the book and done extensive highlighting of the text during my study time in preparation for class discussions of assigned reading. Very disappointing.

This book was edited and partly written by my professor for Church Leadership. It covers a variety of topics needed by those in leadership positions in churches. Those preparing for pastoral leadership will benefit greatly from this book.

This book is an interesting resource book for Pastors and is easy to read. Well worth purchasing and owning.

Lots of great information inside. Great to use when trying to create different types of forms and documents.

I purchased this book on the advice of a seminary professor. I am so glad I listened to his words.

This book provides many invaluable tools, forms, etc. to help the pastor (particularly new pastor) in his ministry.

This book should be a required text for a class by the same title!
