Editorial Reviews

Product Description

The debut CD by the newest champion of emotional electronic music. 15 tracks that document the unanswered prayers of a family faced with incredible loss. A brutally honest, introspective journey that attacks - and embraces - religion, death, love, cancer and the spiritual ideals some want so desperately to believe in; Direct, beautiful electronic audio noise therapy.

...frenetic but strangely cheery synth-pop is loaded with crazed programming and a razor-to-the-wrist intensity. -- Willamette Week

Electro-noise deconstruction has never sounded more emotional and disturbed than this one-man missionary. -- Light Up The Sky

i was tempted to give this album 4 stars only because ive had the please of seeing mr freddy rupert live. just recently my band had the pleasure of playing a very intimate house show with freddy. i can safely say it was the most touching performance ive ever had the good fortune to see. from the feedback and electronic noise and freddy just pouring himself all over the microphone and across the floor nothing could have hit home nearly as hard. someting new in the world of punk rock, i think we have found it. but now about the album. its one of those albums that is kind of hard to put on. it is so personal and so well done that you cant always handle it, but i cant imagine my collection without it. if you care to be inspired please buy this and sit down and listen to it. every note, every noise, every word is truly meant.

This album is probably the most emotional piece of plastic ever created. Heart-wrenching is an understatement. Anyone that has seen Freddy play live knows exactly what I'm talking about. He literally manifests the pain and anguish of the lyrics in sweat and tears. Somehow, that carries over to the album. I got the CD right when it came out and did something that is tough for a lot of people: I listened straight through. His ability to make you feel what he is feeling is something very unique for music today. I was actually drained from the experience, and in my mind, that mutual struggle is precisely what he was trying to convey.

holy mary mother of f*ck christ!! this album is the poop!

hearing freddy rupert play was like a wrench to the temple. noise... noise. such beautiful heart-swelling teeth-gnashing bowel-dropping noise!!

the way this boy controls his microphone feedback is amazing. and quite frankly i have never before, nor have i yet heard anything that compares to this album. if you feel like you won't be finding someone out there with more to give to their art you MUST get this album! rupert takes the whole reason for making music in the first place and boils it down to a harsh teaspoon of pungent medicine.

honestly i cannot say enough about this album. it has been on heavy play ever since i have gotten it, and with each consecutive listen it gets better and better.

painful lyrics, heart dropping swells, and angst ridden noise-abuse is the only way i can describe "this song is a mess but so am i". get it. you must.
