Brook Pink dinnerware is produced by utilising the centuries old art of transfer printing from original engravings which bring to life the scenes of an English rural countryside. The Cottages, Churches, Brooks & landscapes are long forgotten in this modern world however they do still exist & we at Churchill try to bring the best out in these scenes by reproducing our ceramics the way our forefathers did in the 18th Century. Each Piece is processed and handled at least 50 times before it is finally made ready for our customers. This vintage feel is applied to the Four 6" Cereal Bowls in the set for 4. Manufactured in fine English Earthenware, Brook Pink Dinnerware products are both Microwave & Dishwasher safe. I ordered the cereal bowls to go with my set of Churchill. The bowls were not made in England and were of a slightly different size then the ones I already have that were made in England. These bowls are stamped on the bottom "Churchill Made by Colombia". I feel Amazon should have asked if I would accept a substitue before shipping the bowls to me. I could have sent them back but felt after paying for that postage it would have been a no win situation for me.

We got these bowls a few weeks ago and have been using them daily since. I held off giving a review so I could see how they would hold up with our family's use on a routine basis.

When the bowls arrived, they had very small chips taken out of the backs of the bowls, so I was immediately disappointed in them. The colored print does not extend to the full edge of the bowls like the rest of the set that is made in England.

It is true these are Made in Columbia and there is a difference in quality and in the color.

HOWEVER, having said that, we use this set as our everyday set of dishes. For a family of 4, (two of which are small children), they are doing the job we need them to do and so far have not broken.

I wouldn't think someone would want these to be added if they're part of their "formal China" or their "good" dishes, because of the inconsistencies between the set Made in England and the set Made in Columbia, however, for the price of the whole set of dishes, then the price of these bowls, I think they're an over all good deal.
