I ordered 3 sets of these and the matching Oslo pink mugs...they all arrived well-packed with no damage. Mine were 'Made in England' which is what I wanted. I almost ordered the big 45-piece set, but we needed 12 place settings, and luckily I noticed that the 45 pc set and 20 pc sets don't have the same bowls and small plates, so they don't 'intermingle'...This 20 pc set comes with cereal bowls and bread plates, the 45 pc set comes with shallow soup bowls and salad plates. We do love our cereal bowls, easier for the kids to use, and we use them for salads and vegetables. But I would like some salad plates, and plan to purchase those separately. As far as durability, so far, so good...and thank heavens for pretty dishwasher-safe dishes!! I'm getting rid of our wedding china and hope to never handwash dishes again!

This dinnerware set is nice, but nothing more. It is wrongly described by "Made in England" when it is actually "Made in Colombia". Therefore, it is not the highest quality. When I received it I was a little bit disappointed. Unlike the real "Made in England" Churchill china, the color is faded, and the offprint is displaced a little. Altogether, not a bad deal but still looking for the real England made-there is A difference.

When I checked this item out I was given the impression that it was made in Britain. Since I had bought it as a gift I did not see it until a few months later when I visited the recipient. I was very shocked and dissapointed to see that it was made in Columbia not Britain!. I wish Amazon would state the origins of its products.

I ordered this 20-piece dinnerware set although some of the reviews weren't exactly glowing regarding the quality but I am happy to report that this dinnerware is lovely! The pieces are solid and quite heavy and although they are made in Columbia, my set is great quality - no chips, bubbles or other imperfections and they came well packed for shipping.

My husband especialy likes the bowls as they don't have a rim on them yet are deep to hold a lot of soup and cereal. The ridged edges of the plates add interest to the pottery and the bucolic English pastoral scene printed on the all the pieces add a nice touch of elegance to the dinner table.

I am using these plates as my everyday ware - I have two other sets of dinnerware in different patterns - the uniting element is that they are all pink and white patterns - and the whole family just loves these dishes. I will probably go ahead and purchase another set as well as the serving dishes sometime soon just so I have enough dishes on hand for my family and when we entertain. I am also eyeing the tea pot as a Mother's Day gift!

BOOTOM LINE: A wonderful starter set for anyone setting up housekeeping who wants something practical and sturdy for everyday use (that stands up to microwaving and the dishwasher) but wants some Eurpean elegance brought to the table. These dishes are pretty enough to be used for special meals and ocacasions instead of china.

Dishes received as a gift from my wish list. Very disappointed in quality of these dishes. Cups and saucers are light in color. Plates darker in color. Transfer pattern blurred on some of the plates. One cup broken, two plates chipped. Regret putting these dishes on my wish list.

I wasn't sure if I should purchase this set or not after reading the mixed reviews, but I am glad that I did. The china is not thin, the color is beautiful, and very shiny. They are packed extremely well. The only complaint I have is that there are places on the pieces that are rough as though the shiny finish was skipped. When running your hand around the edge of a saucer, for example, you feel a rough spot as though there was a chip. There are not many spots like this on my set, but worth mentioning if you are very particular. Even taking this in to account, I am very happy with my purchase. The set is very pretty and appears to be able to stand every day use.

It's sturdy, yet beautiful for an "old-fashion" look.

Overall, I'm happy with the dishes. It is a pretty set which I use for casual dining, even entertaining. While there are minor differences in the color of a few, it doesn't bother me. I was surprised at the 'thinness' of the stoneware. I would have preferred that rather than cups & saucers, the set would have come with serving plates, etc. - but I knew what I was getting. Also, I find the bowls a little small.

I am thrilled with the chinaware I ordered! They came beautifully packed, easy to unpack, and perfectly packaged and protected. They are exactly as described, and flawless; microwaveable and dishwasher-safe, just as I was looking for. They "look old-fashioned", but with all the modern-day requirements. I am very, very pleased!
