This set says it's made in England. IT IS NOT. It's made in Columbia. As for the quality, shame, shame, shame. I am so disappointed. Many of the pieces have faded colors, and very noticable. I am too embarrassed to use this setting, the faded coloring is that noticable. I hate to have to return a HUGE, HEAVY box! But I will. I wonder if I'll order anything but books and music from this site. The only reason I went with this set was from the rave reviews it got.

Just received shipment of the 45 pc. set and was very pleased at both the quality and appearance. It appears "older" than it is because of the paler blue tones. The English do a lovely job in quality control. The set, being stoneware, is sturdy and will take some abuse.

One thing - if you purchase the 20 pc. set and/or the 5 pc. completer set of the same pattern be prepared for a different appearance. These sets are made in Colombia, the colors are more saturated, the quality not as nice. Also, the Colombian sets include cereal bowls and bread & butter plates (vs. soup bowls and luncheon plates in the English set). The platter and veg dish are also slightly smaller.

I ordered this dinnerware about six months ago and have used it daily since. I have found the quality to be exceptional and have not seen any differences in the coloring, as another reviewer did.

I might add that with all my other plates and bowls, I managed to put chips in the edges quickly. Despite my clumsy handling of this dinnerware, I have not made a single chip!

I would order this set again in a heartbeat - the price is wonderful and the dishes are lovely!

I bought this set about 7 months ago and use it everyday. The quality is excellent. We don't have a dishwasher here and the dishes get jammed around a lot in the cupboard and sink and NO CHIPS so far--even tho' I've cringed when they've been banged together a few times. We use these in the microwave too--no problems. The color is beautiful and all the same. No fading or difference between each piece. I also have the teapot set--that came separately and the color of the set exactly matches the dishes! If your a fan of lovely tableware and want great quality-this set is it. I have received many compliments on this beautiful set.

Chirchill Brook Blue is a very elegant china made in best traditions of the 18th Century aristocratic Europe. High quality - made in England. I enjoy it in everyday dining as well as for formal gatherings.

It was a great piece, but one of the pieces were chipped. Then I would be paying more money (shipping and purchase cost) to get a new plate b/c they don't sell anything in the package seperatley at Amazon. In the stores the price for that once piece is expensive, so all I could so was keep the chipped china piece. That did not leave me happy at all. I prefer not to order China from Amazon.

Upset, I received it and had a broken salad plate and bowl...it should be shipped more carefully, It's a lot of money to spend to receive broken dishes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I returned the item as some plates were damaged. The set was made in Columbia. Did not reorder.

I ordered the whole set of Churchill China Brook Blue Dinnerware, & I am very pleased with what received. The only thing that I am displeased about is, I can't find the matching Coffee Cups, Soup Laddle, Salt & pepper shakers. If anyone out ther knows where to fined these idems please have Amazon.com let me know.

This set is very nice, but the color is not evenly bright, some plates are a lot lighter then others.
