This china is so pretty. Perfect for anybody who likes old fashioned traditional china patterns or for those who are enamoured of "shabby chic" or the nouveau toile look. I really like how nicely it stacks..although not a fine china, it is also not bulky or clunky. It will be fun for everyday use!
This will appeal to anyone who likes willow, scenic chinas or transferware.

What a nice surprise to find this under the tree Christmas Morning!! I've been using this set as an everydayware and it works quite nicely. This is also a piece I can mix with a lot of other pieces and place settings. Timeless and classy, I know this will be on my table for many years.

The only thing that would improve this line would be the addition of cereal bowls.

I got this set just a week ago. Very nice, the red color is really a light red hue, not pink and not red. Very smooth, with beautiful rippling detail. The dishes are nice and light, they feel great in your hands. The set is stamped "made in Columbia" on the back. I didn't notice any color imperfections or dishes which were darker/lighter than others. Some plates have very light pitting on the back, but nothing major. Only notice it when you have the dish in your hand and feel a little bump. Tea cups are very small - small 8 oz. They're OK for serving guests, but if you want a nice drink of tea, they're just too small - I'd get separate glasses or mugs. I actually ordered blue but was sent pink. (I like the pink and I'm keeping it).

This set is very nice! It's lightweight, great for a fancy table, yet practical for everyday use. I love the color, it looks great on my cherrywood and mahogany formal dining area, yet also has country charm on my lightwood kitchen table.
Great price as well.

Excellent product for the value. I was hesitant to purchase china via internet or mail, but the china arrived in perfect condition, and is beautiful and timeless. Thank you.

I was disappointed to find that these were made in Columbia and not in England. It appears that Churchill China out-sources some of their products, which you can get a low price, but at not the same quality as the ones made in England. I would recomend spending the extra money and ordering the ones that specifically say, 'Made in England' in the description.

The set arrived before the projected date. One serving bowl was broken but Amazon took care of the cost of replacement. They offered to pay shipping back and send a new set but I chose not to go that route. I liked the dishes and the pattern very much. I expected them to be made in England, although I knew the pattern had been discontinued. They were made in Columbia, instead. I would have given five stars had they been from England as the gravy boat I ordered seperately was. After pricing other dishes and checking all around, I feel the set was a very good buy.

The dishes were not fired properly and were different shades - The size of the bowls were not as pictured or described. They were not packaged well and arrived with some broken. We had difficulty dealing with your customer service department and had to make multiple calls to receive proper credit.

First, I love the china so I am giving it top marks. It isn't as crisp as the Made in England version, but, alas, that isn't easy to find. And some of the printing is darker and some lighter (I rationalize that as antique). We have a set of English Blue Willow from Churchill, a nostalgic nod to my husband's childhood, but I fell in love with the Brook pattern in pink, so now I have it. However, the set I received did NOT have the rimmed soup bowls or the salad plates, as pictured and described, but has the cereal bowls and the bread and butter plates, instead. That would be fine and good except I ordered those to complete the set, some from a third party vendor, so now I have a lot of extra pieces either to return, if I can, or plan a big dessert party - ice cream and cookies for 16, plus the hassle of reordering the other pieces and the extra cost. I did find the salad plates at Ross, but still . . . I had contacted Amazon by phone (a disaster) and then by e-mail and was told, gee, we just have too much stuff to actually know what we are sending out if the manufacturer doesn't contact us first. So, I have my dishes, which are lovely and cozy and make me happy, but I think that Amazon is best for books and DVDs, and even then you have to be careful about the details. Or, they might listen to customers and contact the vendor and inquire, and make corrections. To be fair to Amazon, my order got here before the scheduled delivery date, in perfect condition, and it certainly was easier to find my pattern and the extras on Amazon.com than any other site.

I received this set last night, and was very excited to see that the color is almost identical to a set of dishes I have--a wedding gift to my parents in 1952! That set is English, but all that has survived are the dinner plates, 2 bowls, and the creamer--so I wanted something similar.

My set of Churchill "The Brook" is made in Colombia, and although the bowls have one minor flaw that repeats on 6 of the 8, the set is in very good shape. The pattern is well printed, the plates in particular are very nice. The bowls are nice too. The salad/dessert plates are VERY small! But I don't anticipate ever using them anyway! The teacups and saucers are cute and the cups are well balanced. The plater and serving bowl are very nice. For the money, I think this is an excellent value! As others have said, it was so well backed it could have survived an earthquake. I'm back now to order mugs!
