This pattern called blue willow is the longest continously made and loved china pattern in history. What you need to know about these mugs is that they do not hold MUG amounts. But they are a lovely addition to any set, a great stand alone gift, and beautiful. Remeber that these are NOT china, they are earthenware, but incredibly high quality and very very strong. It will blend with any other cobalt blue and white dinner ware for a great mix and match. You will see this pattern in a lot of old movies from Europe and American Westerns. It really is pretty. And even my macho testoterone husband loves them. I have never gotten tired of them, not ever.
