4.0 out of 5 stars Esoteric Collection, April 8, 2011

This features short essays on Churchill - some on his early turn of the century visits to the U.S. Others are on his letters to and from U.S. Presidents that he worked with. A long letter from Eisenhower is featured. Others are from the Library of Congress but unrelated to the U.S. - Churchill in the Sudan. There is an interesting description of scribbled notes between Churchill and Harriman on a long plane ride to Moscow in 1942.

Anyhow it is a collection of esoteric letters and notes on Churchill's very active life - of interest to someone, like myself, who is much enamoured with Churchill!

I also found out that when Churchill's mother Jennie re-married, her husband was only a few days older than Winston, who was then 26!
