A classic game with another fresh look. Our five year old granddaughter loves this version right now. Could for counting. The spinner is not as durable as spinners of old, but you could use one of a pair of dice. Counting spaces is good!

Chutes and Ladders! IT could use a spinner easier to use for the young ones--after all the game is for kids 3 years and up. And now, it needs a princess update to be more inclusive.

I had this sent to a friend's daughter for the Holidays - she lOVES the whole Princesses so I figured maybe she wouldn't have a game. And who doesn't love Chutes & Ladders! She played with it right out of the box! Hit it out of the ballpark ;)

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a 4.5 year old and she loves it. Mostly because it's princess-themed, of course. But she knows her numbers and gets the concept of the game pretty well, so she was able to figure it out and play with it pretty quickly. The box says it's for 3+ but my 3.5 year old daughter didn't quite get it just yet, so I would say it's more for 4+. Younger kids just don't have the patience to sit through the entire game.

4.0 out of 5 stars My daughter can't get enough, October 3, 2011

We had the original Chutes and Ladders, and my 3-yr-old daughter wasn't very interested in playing. She loves the princesses, so we got this hoping to get her playing, learning to take turns, counting squares, winning and losing, etc. She LOVES this version and is always asking to play. Even when we aren't playing, she takes out the princess playing pieces and plays with those. It was a little difficult for her to understand at first that the princess pieces don't necessarily have to be on the squares with their pictures, though. That was a little confusing for her. Overall, pretty happy with this game and the hours of play we've had with our daughter.

There is no real difference between this and the original, which I expected. The most fun the kids had during this game was picking which princess to be. After that they quickly finished the game and put it away. Maybe my kids don't like board games... ? haha.

This is a great first board game for little girls who love their princesses. The game pieces are quality figurines of Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, and Aurora. My daughter LOVES it. The board is really pretty and decorated top to bottom with Disney. She is in love. I love that it helps couting (to 6). Any activity other than watching TV is a plus in my book. My only concern is that the spinner is a little cheap. If it does break though, we can always use a dice because 6 is the biggest number. Thanks!

Typical chutes and ladder game but figures are very nice (like toys, not just cardboard). Pictures on board are pretty, my niece (who's 4) was entranced with the photos and kept wanting to land where her favorite characters were. Spinner is a little difficult for the young ones, but I'm sure she'll get used to it. If not you could always use a dice. Good for teaching counting.
