5.0 out of 5 stars Does a good job
I live in dry-as-a-bone Colorado, so I need to keep a lot of moisture in my humidor. I use two of these in a 50 cigar box and they keep it steady at 70% for about 2 weeks before they need a refill. I'm happy with that!

3.0 out of 5 stars Just okay
This item is nice for desktop humidors because you don't have to add the distilled water / alcohol mix to the conventional ones. You just take the cap off, drop it in there and add water once the beads get below the line. Too easy. The problem I have had with them is that if you live in a dry climate they will only bring humidity levels to about 40%. I would recommend...

Been using now for several weeks; I recommend these and would order them again. It's great to be able to clearly see when more water should be added.

3.0 out of 5 stars You may need to get two, August 27, 2010

I put one of these in my humidor, which holds ~50 cigars, and never saw humidity rise above 52%.

I have since added a shot glass filled with distilled water to my humidor in addition to the gel, and now my humidor holds at about 71% humidity.

So while they advertise that one can handle a small to medium sized humidor, you should probably buy two to be safe or look into humidity packs instead.

This product is just OK. As you look at the many ways to keep cigars fresh and moist, this is probably the cheapest. Works great with a small collection in a humidor of a capacity of 20 or less. I tried this and it has not let me down, I feel that traditional humidifying systems work best. If you are in a hurry and need a cheap way of humidification then this is a good buy for that situation.

Stuff seems to be working fine. If you have been having problems with humidity I would season your box first. Spray inside with distilled water (minus the cigars). Let it soak in and feel dry, then replace cigars. Mine staying at 83% now. Before it would drop back low but the gel is keeping it humidified.

The item works as described, so it should be 5 stars. However, I had to take one off due to other issues. First, as previously mentioned in other reviews, the item pictured is not what you recieved. Not a big deal to me, as its not like it site out, but would have been nice to know that it is not near as nice looking as in the picture. Secondly, I was a little annoyed that it did not come with any type of instructions at all. Obvioulsy there isn't much to it, but still would have been nice for people who have never used one of these before. I added some distilled water and left the cap off and it seems to be working fine (hopefully that is what you are supposed to do).

This is a good product, although I would have preferred it to come in a slightly larger size. The price was very good, however, and the delivery was fast and well-packaged.

I have 30 cigar humidifier with about 10 cigars in it at a time. I live in Vegas and was having trouble getting my humidity past 30% even though I was using distelled water just about every day. I used the Ci Gel and it worked wonders. It lasted 2 months before the beads got down to the last 25%. I have gone thru 4 jars and am very happy.

In addition the product is not shipped thru Amazon but I have received every shipment in less than 5 days.
