Okay, honesty here people. My grandmother made applesauce as did my mother and for all I know this went back into history way before my grandmother was a gleam in her daddies' eye. Anyway, I learned from the best an I state right here and now that I currently make the best applesauce in the world. Hey, it is in my blood.But that being said, I have to admit that the stuff here gives me a run for my money and if it is the next best thing to my own. I serve a lot of pork dishes an this goes well both as a side dish and as an ingredient. It is also a great stand-alone side dish. There is not bitterness and no after taste and I have yet of find any of those sharp little bits in the stuff that plague so many "store bought" verities. This is good stuff and I would be very surprised if you did not like it. I know I do and so do all my guests. Hey, I even take credit for it as I have no moral scruples about such things what so ever. |
